East Dundee, IL Full-Time | On-Site | 1099 Monday-Friday | 8 AM-5 PM We're looking for a Shop Manager Assistant

• Driver Coordinator to be the first face drivers see and the first person they turn to with a question, a concern, or a problem. You'll keep drivers informed and taken care of, keep Operations in the loop on truck status, and handle some of the toughest conversations in the business

What You'll Do Driver Support Serve as the first point of contact for all drivers at the shop — answering questions and resolving issues about trucks, trailers, dispatch, or the company Make sure every driver waiting at the shop is taken care of, informed, and comfortable Occasionally provide rides to the office, drug testing sites, or the airport Operations Liaison Serve as the single point of contact between the shop and the Operations team Maintain a live status board for every unit in the shop — reason in, ETA, and any blockers Coordinate with Safety, Accounting, and Operations on all driver

• and unit-related matters Ensure timely updates and follow-through on every open request from other departments Retention Meet one-on-one with drivers to understand concerns around pay, miles, home time, equipment, or dispatch Develop clear, concrete action plans and follow up to confirm they're delivered Document every conversation, plan, and outcome Terminations Manage terminations professionally, calmly, and without escalation Collect all company property (keys, fuel cards, ELD/tablet, permits) and inspect the vehicle with photo documentation Report all details to HR, Safety, and Accounting the same day Documentation & Problem-Solving Keep thorough records of complaints, retention conversations, and driver issues for Safety and HR Take ownership of problems and resolve them independently, escalating only when truly necessary General Support Assist the Shop Manager with day-to-day tasks as needed What We're Looking For Strong communicator who stays calm under pressure Comfortable handling sensitive conversations Highly organized, with an eye for detail and follow-through Valid driver's license (occasional local driving required)
