The Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a motivated and skilled candidate to serve as the Corrections Supply Supervisor. The ideal candidate for this position will possess previous merchandise distribution experience and will be comfortable leading by example and providing instruction to the youth in our care. The incumbent in this position will have a working knowledge of storekeeping and warehousing methods and procedures, and also have a working knowledge of inventory and other control methods and procedures. Essential Functions:

Under general supervision, receives, checks, stores, prices and distributes merchandise for all stores. Maintains records for the various store purchases to ensure a clear audit trail identifying the flow of equipment and commodities through receipt, distribution, and reassignment. Monitors, supervises, and coordinates the work assignments of youth to ensure proper preparation of receiving reports, posting receiving reports, and requisitions to the perpetual inventory system. Verifies compliance with safety and sanitation procedures for all areas. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school or completion of an approved training course.
