Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shop Manager to lead our maintenance and repair operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the daily functioning of the shop, coordinate heavy equipment and vehicle repairs, and ensure all machinery operates at peak performance. Your leadership will drive efficiency, safety, and quality standards across all maintenance activities, supporting our commitment to excellent service delivery. Responsibilities Supervise daily shop operations, including scheduling repairs and maintenance for trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment Lead a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance and training on mechanical systems repair, diagnostics, and safety procedures Oversee the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of a wide range of equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and industrial machinery Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory using schematics and maintenance management systems Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation, air brake systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle systems Coordinate with procurement to order parts and tools needed for repairs while managing costs effectively Promote a culture of safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement within the shop environment Skills Strong mechanical knowledge across various machinery including farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy trucks Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance such as transmissions, suspensions, shocks & struts, brake systems, alignments, HVAC systems, diesel engines, and welding techniques Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently for equipment repair and assembly tasks Knowledge of electrical systems repair including automotive electrical systems and soldering skills Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management and customer service excellence Join us as a Shop Manager where your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly while supporting our mission to provide top-tier transportation services.
