Job Description

SUMMARY:
ACS is looking for an organized, hands-on leader to manage the day-to-day operations of our two-way radio Service Department. The Two-Way Radio Program Manager is responsible for organizing and prioritizing incoming returns, orders, work orders, and functions across the department to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. This position requires a working knowledge of two-way radios, including the ability to program, read, and create code-plugs, organize related programming and equipment files, and support work with repeaters and duplexers. The Two-Way Radio Program Manager will lead, schedule, and develop a small team of service technicians, ensuring consistent quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Attention to detail is very important.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Department Leadership & Team Management Manage, schedule, and prioritize the daily workload of a small team of service technicians. Assign work orders based on technician skill set, priority, and deadlines. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members; provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Ensure the department follows established safety, quality, and company procedures. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management for department staff. Create SOPs to ensure consistent quality and mitigate mistakes. Order & Workflow Management Organize and prioritize incoming returns, service orders, work orders, and department requests. Track order status from intake through completion, ensuring on-time delivery. Coordinate with Sales, Inventory, and Operations teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and order issues and priorities. Maintain organized files and documentation for programming records, work orders, and equipment history. Two-Way Radio Programming & Technical Support Program, read, and create codeplugs for two-way radios across supported platforms and brands. Provide technical guidance to the team on radio programming standards and best practices. Support the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of repeaters and duplexers. Maintain accurate records of programming templates, codeplug versions, and equipment configurations. Stay current on manufacturer updates, firmware releases, and programming software changes. Problem Resolution and Improvement Help troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical and service issues. Analyze recurring problems and provide feedback to management and appropriate departments. Manage projects and ensure follow-through from beginning to end of the project life cycle. Work with management and team members to establish standards and strategy for the department. Reporting Track and report on department productivity, order status, and turnaround times. Provide regular updates to management on team performance and department metrics. Perform strategic analysis of department data to recommend process improvements. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related technical field preferred. Working knowledge of two-way radio systems, including programming and codeplug creation, required. Experience with repeaters, duplexers, and related RF equipment preferred. Prior supervisory, lead, or team management experience preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple orders and projects simultaneously. Acute attention to detail, particularly with file and records management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels. Proficient in Office 365 and Salesforce; hands-on experience with NetSuite a plus.
Compensation:
This is a salaried position. Salary is commensurate with experience.
