Job Description
Summary:
The Toot'n Totum Store Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of daily store operations, ensuring consistently exceptional Guest experiences. This position plays a critical leadership role in hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety, financial, and regulatory standards. The Store Manager oversees merchandising, inventory control, cash handling, and scheduling, and serves each Guest in a polite, courteous and professional manner.Supervisory Responsibilities:
Recruit, interview, hire & train new team members. Oversee the daily workflow & operations of the store. Provide constructive & timely performance reviews. Provide continuous leadership and coaching to all team members, routinely shaping positive & constructive feedback to ensure the team is set up for success. Handle discipline and terminations of team members in accordance with company policy.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in and support in-store promotions and marketing activities.
- Respond in a timely manner to District Manager, leadership, and Guests.
- Oversee and perform basic merchandising to include stocking, fronting and facing merchandise on shelves and in coolers, stocking beverage bar areas, bagging ice, brewing coffee and tea at assigned intervals, stocking lottery supplies and tobacco/vape products.
- Check-in vendors and receive fuel deliveries.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving deliveries, checking for accuracy, and organizing merchandise.
- Report maintenance issues, Guest incidents, and team member injuries timely and appropriately.
- Support high levels of Guest satisfaction by addressing Guest concerns and resolving complaints effectively.
- Investigate and resolve issues that pertain to assigned store while keeping District Manager informed.
- Create and manage team member work schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels in alignment with business needs.
- Review and approve time-off requests, balancing team member needs with operational requirements.
- Address scheduling conflicts and coordinate coverage for shifts due to absences, callouts, or other unforeseen circumstances to maintain uninterrupted store operations.
- Ensure the store is secure and follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Control inventory and protect Company assets according to policies; follow proper policies on all age-restricted merchandise.
- Oversee proper cash handling procedures, including cash register operations, deposits, daily sales reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Administer and oversee legal and regulatory compliance regarding gasoline sales and deliveries, sale of age restricted products, lottery sales, and money orders.
- Lead, train, coach, and discipline all members of team; document performance issues and complete required performance evaluations.

Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 or more years of prior retail management experience required.
- 1 year of Assistant Manager or Leader in Training (LIT) experience within Toot'n Totum, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk/hear, push/pull, climb, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel/crawl, taste/smell, balance, twist/reach, carry, grasp with hands, squat, drive and use keyboard.
Lifting Requirements:
Lift/pull up to 50 lbs. daily.Hearing Requirements:
Ability to hear alarms, communication equipment, verbal instructions and machinery.Cognitive Requirements:
Basic reading, writing and math skills. Basic speech skills; must be able to speak, read, write & understand the English language, clerical tasks, memorization, analytical skills, function under stress & make independent decisions.Vision Requirements:
General vision requirements in addition to close vision (<20 inches), Distance Vision (>20 feet), color vision and peripheral vision.Noise Levels:
Normal (<85dB) noise levels.- Repetitive Motion(s): Regularly & repetitively use both feet and both hands.
