Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary We are seeking motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team! Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning Lead and supervise team members, providing training, coaching, and development to foster a high-performing environment Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales potential Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, ensuring excellent service through effective communication and problem-solving skills Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees Oversee cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, and cashiering activities with accuracy and integrity Coordinate shift management, scheduling staff coverage to meet store demands while maintaining optimal productivity Skills Strong leadership abilities, with previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in retail grocery store preferred. Excellent communication skills is a must. Proficiency in retail math, sales management, budgeting, and basic bookkeeping practices Skilled in inventory management systems, POS technology, and purchasing processes Demonstrated expertise in customer service excellence, and employee training. Effective negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations Organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of retail marketing strategies, merchandising techniques, and promotional planning Experience with shift management, time management practices, and grocery store management operations.
