Overview Join our dynamic retail team as an Assistant Store Leader/Assistant Manager and become a vital part of our mission to deliver exceptional customer experiences! In this energetic role, you will lead daily store operations, motivate and develop team members, and ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties Assist the Director in managing daily store operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service standards. Supervise and motivate retail sales teams to achieve sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management. Oversee employee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training to ensure team members are knowledgeable about products, policies, and procedures. Handle recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and supporting hiring decisions for retail staff. Manage inventory levels through stock ordering, merchandising, stocking, and inventory management systems to optimize product availability. Execute cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) system operation, cashiering duties, and payroll processing with accuracy. Ensure operational compliance by supervising pricing strategies, merchandising standards, store cleanliness, safety protocols, and organizational policies. Support shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet business needs while maintaining excellent customer service. Foster a customer-focused environment by delivering outstanding service via phone etiquette and in-person interactions. Experience Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience within the retail industry or grocery stores with a strong background in sales team management. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and recruiting practices. Experience with inventory management systems, POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math calculations. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus! Knowledge of retail operations including merchandising, pricing strategies, stock control, and operational management. Familiarity with payroll processing, bookkeeping basics, budgeting practices, and administrative responsibilities. Previous experience in retail sales environments emphasizing customer service excellence is highly desirable. Ability to manage time effectively while overseeing multiple responsibilities such as supervising staff shifts and ensuring store standards are met consistently. Join us to lead with energy!
