Must be available full time

FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS

(mid June to end of August) - for one of these shifts: 7:15-4:15; 7:30-4:30; 7:45-4:45. We are closed for 2 unpaid weeks in the summer (1 week in July (July 3-11) and 1 week in August( (dates TBD) Candidate is expected to be available for the majority of the remaining summer weeks; however we will work with a public school teacher and offer flexibility for the end date and start date of public school. Seeking a Teacher with experience with school age children, preparing and delivering classroom activities, communicating with staff and parents, ensuring that the classroom space is a safe, welcoming, and engaging place for children to learn and grow. To be a successful teacher you should be creative, energetic, and able to encourage self-expression. We are looking for someone who loves teaching and is able to offer a balance of structured activities along with having fun both indoors and out - we especially embrace the Outdoor Classroom! The teacher must be attentive to children's social / emotional needs and development. Top candidates will have evidence of a passion for working with children, a strong belief in the value of play, and a commitment for meeting children where they are at. Maximum classroom size 20 with a minimum of 3 educators.

Minimum qualifications for this position:

minimum of 1 years of classroom or similar setting experience or education with children age 5-14 Priority given to those with EEC certification; or we can help candidates who are eligible for certification through theDepartment of Early Education and Care Massachusetts. Priority given to candidates with degrees in Education. calm, patient, and loving personality - must have the ability to remain calm with children even in their most challenging moments. ability to work under supervision of Director/Assistant Director or a classroom Lead Teacher ability to implement curriculum, activities, and routines including circle time, structured lessons/activities, snack and meal times, light cleaning. able to commit to employment for a minimum of a year or longer to provide stable environment for children enrolled in care EEC Essentials Training Certificate or a candidate must be willing to complete this free short online training as required by The Department of Early Education and Care current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire physically able to lift 50 pounds a Massachusetts background check including fingerprinting is required prior to beginning employment, as well as medical clearance from a physician Please apply with a resume or a cover letter outlining your qualifications.
