StorekeeperSummary:
Under direction of Food Service Supervisor and/or Cafeteria Manager performs a variety of shipping/receiving and stocking activities. Stores weekly delivery to designated areas, distributes supplies (daily or as needed) participates in physical inventories (weekly and monthly inventory) by counting stock and perform related work as required.Responsibilities:
Maintain receiving area, stockrooms, coolers, freezers and any type of storage areas. Keep these areas neat and clean and orderly at all times. (Sweep and wash all storage areas, coolers and receiving area as needed) Check and inspect all incoming deliveries thoroughly for damaged or missing items. (Notify manager of items out of stock on invoice, sign invoices.) Assist Food Service delivery drivers load and unload vans. Move items from conveyor belt to storage using transport carts and appropriate lifting and moving techniques. (remove all carts from receiving area) Ability to lift heavy items, shelve, store and put away all stock into proper designated areas. (maintain FIFO procedure- assist kitchen staff when setting up orders for feeder schools) Operates hand equipment such as hand trucks and dollies to transport stock. Wash kitchen floor. (Weekly or as needed) Determines non-perishable supplies needed. (Weekly) Lock up and secure all food service areas, coolers and freezers. Log freezer and cooler temperatures. (A.M. and P.M.
