A Retail Associate Manager assists the manager at a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. Supervises sales associates and retail store operations. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. May prepare work schedules and hire, train and evaluate sales associates. May supervise warehouse, cleaning, maintenance or security staff. Assists with resolving customer complaints.
Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers in selecting the right cannabis products for their needs. Your expertise and passion for cannabis will help create a welcoming and informative environment for our clientele. Your Leadership will create a positive work environment for our staff members. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in navigating the product selection process. Provide detailed information about various cannabis strains, products, and their effects. Utilize basic math skills to accurately process transactions using a POS system. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on usage and benefits. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary, ensure products are well displayed, product containers and display cases are clean and presentable, and the store is, in general, clean and organized. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally. Lead and develop Bud Tender team, to be the best in the marketplace, improving knowledge, customer interface, and sales techniques. Maintain accurate inventories of all products, conducting daily cycle counts, explanations of any variances, and accurately receiving supplier deliveries in METRC and Dutchie software packages. Manage POS cash levels and balancing register drawers daily. Provide input of strategic direction, product line additions and deletions and evaluations of Bud Tender performance. Perform role of the Manager when Manager is not in the store. Other duties as assigned Experience Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in grocery stores, Bar Tender, Waitstaff or similar customer facing settings. Familiarity with cash register operations and retail math is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions. Experience with developing staff is a plus but not mandatory. Experience with inventory control, cycle counting and product receiving is a plus but not mandatory Previous experience with Metrc and Dutchie software packages is a plus.
