Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Store Manager to lead our retail team to success! In this vital role, you will oversee daily store operations, drive sales growth, manage inventory, and ensure exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to foster a high-performance environment Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock management, and inventory control techniques to maximize product availability and minimize shrinkage Implement effective sales strategies and promotional activities to meet or exceed sales goals Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) system operations, and bookkeeping records Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and health regulations Develop staff through ongoing training & development initiatives focused on retail management skills and product knowledge Requirements Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities Strong knowledge of retail operations including POS systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, and employee orientation Experience with successful recruiting, interviewing, payroll processing, Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills and time management capabilities Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies and sales analysis Previous experience in retail sales teams management within the pet supplies or grocery industry is highly desirable Join us as a Store Manager where your leadership will make a real difference!
