Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales management, inventory control, and merchandising to meet business objectives. Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets. Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees, ensuring proper training and development to enhance team performance. Manage employee schedules, shift assignments, and payroll processing to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and facilitate ongoing training to support employee growth. Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective stock management, purchasing, and inventory audits. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all visitors. Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and reporting; ensure compliance with cash management procedures. Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities to maximize sales opportunities. Monitor store metrics such as sales figures, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction scores to identify areas for improvement. Skills Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team leadership and operational oversight. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build positive relationships with vendors and staff alike. Excellent communication skills in both managerial communication and customer service contexts; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee orientation processes. Knowledge of inventory management systems (POS systems), bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills for financial accuracy. Experience in supervising retail sales teams with expertise in merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and inventory control. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively through excellent organizational skills and time management. Familiarity with retail math concepts such as sales calculations, profit margins, and budgeting practices. Strong leadership qualities with a focus on training & development, operational management, and team building. Experience working in grocery or similar store environments is advantageous; familiarity with grocery store product knowledge is preferred.
