Shift Leader

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Shift Leader and take charge of daily store operations with enthusiasm and confidence! This pivotal role combines leadership, customer service excellence, and operational management to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. As a Shift Leader, you'll inspire your team, oversee sales activities, manage inventory, and uphold the highest standards of store performance. Your energy and proactive approach will drive success and foster a positive environment for both staff and shoppers. Duties Lead and motivate team members during your shift to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales goals Supervise daily store operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, and inventory management Coordinate staffing schedules, assign tasks, and oversee employee orientation and training to ensure team readiness Manage stock levels through inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, and stocking to optimize product availability Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain excellent phone etiquette to enhance customer satisfaction Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and ensure compliance with store policies and procedures Conduct interviews for potential new hires, participate in recruiting efforts, and support onboarding processes Skills Strong leadership skills with proven supervisory or assistant manager experience in retail settings Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities preferred to serve diverse customers effectively Proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, sales management, and retail sales techniques Experience with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and store management software Knowledge of inventory management practices including stock control, purchasing, merchandising, and inventory audits Ability to manage time efficiently while juggling multiple responsibilities such as training & development and marketing initiatives Exceptional organizational skills combined with a keen eye for detail in bookkeeping and payroll processing Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors or team members to meet store objectives Strong interpersonal skills for employee orientation, interviewing candidates, and fostering a collaborative team environment Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus; however, a passion for retail management is essential Embark on a rewarding journey where your leadership fuels success!
