Responsibilities Lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service. Oversee store operations including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment to maximize profitability. Manage employee recruitment, onboarding, training, and development to build a high-performing team. Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions to ensure the best talent acquisition. Supervise daily shift activities, including cash handling, POS system operation, and cashiering duties. Implement effective inventory control measures and manage purchasing processes to maintain optimal stock levels. Monitor sales performance through retail math analysis and adjust strategies accordingly for continuous improvement. Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and administrative responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency. Maintain excellent communication with staff through managerial communication skills and organize team meetings regularly. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and operational procedures. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to uphold high customer satisfaction standards. Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions and reporting purposes. Skills Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team supervision. Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations, purchasing negotiations, and conflict resolution. Excellent employee orientation skills to foster a positive work environment and promote team development. Experience in interviewing candidates and recruiting top talent for retail positions. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customer bases. Proficiency in payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, and POS systems. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with supervisory experience in retail settings. Knowledge of retail math concepts including pricing strategies, sales management, and operational metrics. Skilled in merchandising, stocking procedures, inventory control, and store presentation standards. Strong organizational skills coupled with time management expertise to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Effective communication skills for managerial interactions as well as customer engagement. Experience with shift management, cash handling procedures, and cashier training & development is preferred.
