Job Overview We are seeking an outgoing and motivated Assistant, Retail Store Manager to join our retail team. Responsibilities Assist in managing store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling. Support the recruitment process by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees. Supervise and motivate retail sales team members to meet or exceed sales targets through effective training and coaching. Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock organization. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining high standards of phone etiquette. Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, returns, and refunds while ensuring accuracy in cash handling and bookkeeping. Contribute to operational management tasks such as scheduling shifts, and managing payroll records. Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervising responsibilities. Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory control, POS systems, and merchandising practices. Excellent communication skills and customer service skills Employee management, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management. Ability to lead teams effectively with managerial communication skills and a focus on training & development. Proficiency in basic math for retail math calculations related to pricing, sales management, budgeting, and cash handling. Experience with operational management tasks such as shift management, stocking procedures, merchandising strategies, and store operations. Organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in administrative tasks like record keeping and phone etiquette.
