We are searching for a Site Manager in the Huntersville, NC area to assist with stocking MRO products at our customer facility. Our ideal candidate will be friendly and outgoing, well organized, with the ability to function in an ever-changing and fast paced environment. Attention to detail, sense of urgency, good follow-through, solid math skills and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. are also required. The hourly requirement will be 40 hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 6am - 4pm. A proven track record of solid attendance and punctuality will be essential as well as DAILY reliable transportation.
JOB SUMMARY
Onsite Butler employee in the tool crib at the customers manufacturing facility. Providing customer service through inventory control, purchasing, quoting and invoice management.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish a daily routine/schedule to maintain database to include inventory of tools, stockroom supplies, shop supplies held in inventory. Issue products to customer employees using customer specifications. Receive products into inventory control software daily. Examine auto generation report daily and determine purchasing needs based on usage and customer production forecast. Provide and follow up on quotes to the customer for new product requests and projects. Place purchase orders daily in P21 for stock replenishment and one-time request. Examine critical item stock levels daily. Acknowledge purchase orders daily, update system and customer with lead time and expected deliveries. Prepare measurement information relative to stockroom component pricing, inventory levels, inventory turnover and other metrics that may be required. Identify savings opportunities within the tool crib and other customer departments. Coordinate efforts of application specialists for productivity improvements with the Butler account manager. Work with the customer to identify critical items based on production forecast. Analyze order points and order qty's on an ongoing basis to; minimize "on hand inventory, minimize "shutdowns", and minimize premium freight charges. Package and ship products as needed. Respond to pricing discrepancies with Accounts Payable within 24 hours. Maintain the stockroom in a manner befitting a professional organization. Add new items to inventory based on customer specifications and create labels. Scan paperwork into inventory control system to maintain records. Update and maintain site specific training materials, and passwords. Review weekly open order/expedite report to verify deliveries. Attending customer meetings to review metrics and collaborate projects for the tool crib.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2-3 years of purchasing experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, P21 and CribMaster and/or Matrix inventory software preferred. Inventory control experience, cycle counts, FIFO, inventory reduction Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, sense of urgency. Tool and industry knowledge are preferred.
EXPECTATIONS
Able to stay on task and work independently. This position requires working on-site at our customers' manufacturing facilities. Ability to represent Butler Bros. in a courteous and professional manner.
