Responsible for managing store operations, staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Ensures effective execution of processes such as ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees while ensuring proper staffing and adherence to labor laws. Provide training, conduct performance reviews, and handle employee development and counseling. Manage store opening and closing procedures, evaluate sales and expense data to identify trends and opportunities. Oversee merchandise presentation, inventory levels, and stock replenishment. Maintain store security, cash handling accuracy, and safety compliance. Deliver superior customer service, ensure a clean and organized store environment, and follow company policies. Complete required documentation and ensure team adherence to operational standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash procedures. Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety policies. Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills. Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail is advantageous. Some locations may favor bilingual (Spanish) speakers.
Physical & Working Conditions:
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts. Occasional ladder use and outside weather exposure. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels; regular travel for store visits or deposits.
