You'll help lead the café and develop the people around you.

Responsibilities include:

Lead shifts and ensure smooth day-to-day café operations Create an upbeat, welcoming environment for guests and team members Coach, train, and develop crew members and future leaders Delegate responsibilities and position team members effectively during shifts Hold team members accountable to company policies and operational standards Deliver excellent hospitality and resolve guest concerns Maintain high standards for food quality, accuracy, speed, and presentation Ensure the café consistently meets cleanliness and food-safety standards Execute promotions and new product launches successfully Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee training Assist with scheduling and staffing needs Learn and assist with inventory, food and supply ordering Help manage labor and food costs Monitor sales and identify opportunities to improve café performance Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily operational responsibilities Work alongside the team when needed and lead by example Who We're Looking For Our ideal Assistant Manager is someone who is: Positive and energetic Dependable and accountable Confident leading a team Comfortable providing coaching and feedback Organized and detail-oriented Guest-focused Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment Willing to jump in wherever the team needs help Interested in learning the business beyond simply running shifts Motivated to continue developing as a leader Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of management, supervisory, or leadership experience preferred Restaurant or fast-casual management experience strongly preferred Experience leading teams in a high-volume environment is a plus Experience with hiring, training, scheduling, inventory, or ordering is a plus Understanding of labor and food-cost management preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic computer skills ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to become certified Flexible availability, including nights and weekends as needed At Tropical Smoothie Cafe, our mission is simple: To inspire a healthier lifestyle by serving amazing food and smoothies with a bit of tropical fun!
