Golf Shop Manager

Job Overview The Golf Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the golf shop, ensuring exceptional customer service while taking tee time reservations, managing inventory and staff. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage store operations, recruit and train staff, and maintain a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and a passion for golf. Duties Manage daily operations of the golf shop, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service including taking reservations for tee times. Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining product displays. Utilize POS systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing and employee scheduling. Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure they provide excellent service to customers. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop to create an inviting atmosphere for guests. Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, services, and golf-related information. Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve sales and customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in store management or a similar role within retail or hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories is preferred. Familiarity with cash register operations and POS systems is essential. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff effectively. Multilingual abilities are a plus to enhance communication with diverse clientele. Proficiency in administrative tasks related to payroll and inventory management is desirable.
