Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead our prestigious motorcycle dealership, specializing in Harley-Davidson. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of dealership operations, driving sales growth, enhancing customer experience, and fostering a motivated team environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for motorcycles, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in automotive or retail sales management. As the face of the dealership, you will ensure operational excellence while cultivating strong relationships within the community and industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic leader eager to make a significant impact in the motorcycle industry. Duties Lead and manage all dealership functions including sales, service, parts, and administrative operations to ensure seamless performance and profitability. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets across new and used motorcycle inventories. Drive outside sales initiatives by establishing B2B relationships with local businesses, clubs, and organizations to expand market reach. Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels, accurate inventory control, and effective merchandising strategies. Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate sales team members; foster a high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction and deal closing success. Utilize CRM software to manage customer relationships effectively, track sales pipelines, follow up on leads, and upsell additional products or services. Conduct regular public speaking engagements and community outreach to promote dealership offerings and enhance brand visibility. Negotiate deals with clients efficiently while maintaining transparency; support dealership financing options to facilitate customer purchases. Maintain excellent phone etiquette and client communication standards to build lasting customer relationships. Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, automotive industry regulations, and safety standards. Skills Proven experience in automotive or dealership sales management with a strong understanding of high-end motorcycle markets. Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively while maximizing profitability through upselling and B2B sales strategies. Strong organizational skills with expertise in inventory control, retail math, and CRM systems support tools. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus) to connect with diverse clientele. Demonstrated success in outbound sales activities such as cold calling and prospecting new clients within the community or industry networks. Skilled in public speaking for promotional events or community engagement initiatives that elevate brand presence. Ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently from lead generation through deal closing while achieving aggressive sales targets. Experience in retail sales environments with a focus on customer service excellence and client relationship building. Knowledge of automotive financing options and retail math principles essential for effective deal structuring. Strong leadership qualities with experience managing sales teams, inventory management systems, and supporting overall dealership operations.
