Job Overview Join our dynamic retail team as an Assistant Store Manager, where you will play a vital role in driving store success through exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and outstanding customer service. Duties Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including sales, inventory management, and staff scheduling. Lead and motivate a retail sales team by providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance performance. Manage employee orientation processes and conduct interviews to recruit talented team members aligned with store goals. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high standards of professionalism. Oversee inventory control procedures, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing accuracy, and stockroom organization. Handle cash register operations, POS systems, cashiering duties, and cash handling procedures with precision. Support operational management tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and purchasing to optimize store efficiency. Implement effective merchandising strategies and oversee visual displays to maximize sales potential. Enforce store policies on safety, cleanliness, and organization while ensuring compliance with company standards. Utilize strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, staff, and upper management for smooth store functioning. Experience Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with a focus on sales team supervision. Demonstrated ability in managing inventory control, POS systems, cash handling, and operational procedures. Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising teams and fostering a collaborative work environment. Excellent organizational skills coupled with time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively. Familiarity with retail math concepts such as pricing strategies, sales analysis, and budgeting processes. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Previous experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, employee orientation, training & development is highly valued.
