CVS Shift Supervisor - Job Overview Job Overview We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Shift Supervisor to lead daily store operations and provide support during assigned shifts. In this role, you will partner with store leadership to ensure excellent customer service, maintain operational standards, and drive sales while supporting a safe and welcoming store environment. You will also coach team members, support company initiatives, and help ensure smooth, compliant day-to-day operations. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily store operations, including opening, closing, and shift transitions while ensuring compliance with CVS policies and procedures.
  • Lead, coach, and support store colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve operational and sales goals.
  • Promote and support ExtraCare and ExtraCare Plus enrollment to drive customer loyalty and engagement.
  • Provide excellent customer service by resolving customer concerns professionally and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Operate and oversee POS systems, cash handling, cash deposits, register accountability, and cash office procedures with accuracy.
  • Execute merchandising standards, planograms, promotional displays, and seasonal sets to company expectations.
  • Assist with inventory management, including truck processing, stocking shelves, facing, outdates, CFR activities, BOH scanning, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Support pharmacy operations by assisting with customer flow, directing customers appropriately, and maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ensure completion of daily operational tasks, including price changes, cycle counts, damages, recalls, and compliance audits.
  • Monitor store appearance by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the sales floor and backroom.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide coaching and feedback to colleagues to improve performance and productivity.
  • Respond to emergencies and operational issues while making sound business decisions in the absence of store management.
  • Follow all company policies regarding loss prevention, shrink reduction, workplace safety, and security procedures.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new colleagues while reinforcing CVS values and operational standards. Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and balancing registers.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Knowledge of merchandising, inventory control, truck processing, and operational execution.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to coach and develop team members through accountability and recognition.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use handheld inventory devices (Ironman/RF Unit).
  • Understanding of CFR processes, inventory accuracy, and operational compliance is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and perform physical retail tasks.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require. Core Competencies

Adaptability Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
