An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Job Description
An assistant manager helps run the store, and aids the general manager in daily operations. The assistant manager will learn to open and close the store, and will be able to perform all daily duties in the store such as running shifts and managing other employees.
