Your role The Assembly Team Lead- 2nd Shift is responsible for leading day-to-day shop floor operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role provides direction to assembly personnel to achieve daily output targets while maintaining product flow and operational continuity.

Main Responsibilities:

Execute Production Plan:

Lead and direct a team of production assemblers to achieve daily and weekly output targets, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality, and efficiency expectations.

Promote Safety Excellence:

Drive a safety-first culture by modeling safe behaviors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring compliance with all EHS requirements.

Team Leadership & Development:

Provide hands-on supervision, coaching, and training to assembly personnel to build capability, improve performance, and ensure process consistency.

Cross-Functional Communication:

Communicate production status, escalate issues, and coordinate troubleshooting efforts across departments to maintain workflow and resolve constraints.

• Workplace Organization (6S): Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, including workstations, tools, equipment, and material flow areas.

Continuous Improvement & VTPS:

Apply and promote the Atlas Copco Vacuum Technique Production System (VTPS) principles, driving continuous improvement through standardized work, waste elimination, and process optimization.

Team Engagement:

Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that promotes accountability, engagement, and high morale.

Process Subject Matter Expertise:

Serve as the primary point of expertise for assembly processes, ensuring adherence to standards and driving best practices.

Labor & Systems Management:

Maintain accurate labor transactions and routing updates in Encompix, ensuring data integrity and alignment with production activities.

Performance Management:

Lead the performance management cycle for direct reports, including goal setting, feedback, evaluations, and development planning.

Attendance & Professionalism:

Maintain consistent attendance and reliability while promoting teamwork, cooperation, and a professional work environment.

Leadership Alignment:

Take direction from the Flow Team Manager and support additional responsibilities or projects as assigned. Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of assembly experience required. 1-3 years of lead or supervisory experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Proficiency with hand tools and small power tools. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a small team.

Ability to work 2nd shift hours, 2:30pm-11pm

Salary:

$32-$37/hr In additon to thehourly rate you will be eligible for a shift differential of 10%. In return, we offer Culture of trust and accountability
