An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

PRODUCE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for ordering, receiving, merchandising and procurement of produce items. Responsible for inventory control and setting retails for profit within the guidelines set forth by this company. Handle all paperwork such as inventory and invoices. Unstack pallets of produce. Unload produce from delivery truck and store into refrigerator or storage area. Clean work area. Retrim produce in cases and restock cases. Use cutting, slicing and trimming utensils or equipment to perform job. Responsible for training and supervising co-workers within department. Occasionally will assist in general receiving, stocking, checking and bagging groceries. Will wrap, weigh and price produce for customers. Usage of electrical or power equipment to crush boxes or operate a hyster to move product.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Continuous handling of freight and produce throughout cooler and produce department. Repetitive use of arms, wrists and hands while stocking and trimming produce. Work in a standing/walking position for 7 hours a day. Lift and carry bulky materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs. Use of basic math skills to calculate daily ordering and retail pricing.

Weigh, wrap and price products. Stock display cases. Take customers orders. Keep work station clean and sanitary.
