You'll maintain a clear pulse on production health, staffing, workload, and team development, ensuring people have the training, tools, priorities, and accountability to do their best work. You'll strengthen and scale the systems that support high-performing execution, including technical standards, workflows, master documents, quality-control practices, resource planning, and performance measures, so quality is repeatable and not dependent on any one person. You'll lead the thoughtful evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, automation, data-informed practices, and advanced design tools that improve engineering quality, coordination, efficiency, and the employee and client experience. You'll collaborate closely with project managers and other disciplines to anticipate constraints, resolve issues early, and elevate project outcomes. As a senior mechanical engineer, you'll stay connected to the craft through planning, design, technical review, and construction administration, with particular focus on energy-efficient, resilient, and sustainable mechanical systems. Strong preference for candidates with experience across the following institutional sectors: education, science + labs, healthcare, aquatics, and central plants. Experience with sustainable construction practices Experience with collaborative delivery methods: IPD, PDB, DB, CMGC, etc. Demonstrated experience leading and improving mechanical engineering teams within multidisciplinary consulting environments Management-level familiarity with Revit, Microsoft 365, and Bluebeam; experience with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred. Exposure to automation, computational design, building analytics, AI-enabled workflows, or other emerging engineering technologies is desirable.
