THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Liquor Store General Manager 1A to lead the operations of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at North Broad Street in Ridgway. Why Join Us? As a General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the store while leading and developing a dedicated team.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position manages the full operation of a liquor store and ensures that staff follow all policies and procedures. As a Liquor Store General Manager 1A, you will perform the following duties:

Store Management:

Oversee daily operations and maintain a safe and presentable environment

Staff Guidance:

Direct employees in their tasks and provide coaching to support growth

Customer Support:

Assist shoppers, resolve concerns, and promote positive service experiences

Resource Planning:

Plan weekly needs and allocate inventory and staff resources

Sales Direction:

Lead product displays and support premium merchandise sales

    Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or

One year of lead retail sales work.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
