Job Description
National Book Company, a subsidiary of W.W. Norton & Company, is seeking a Business Coordinator. This position is responsible for clerical and other support of the accounting department. This is a full-time position based out of our Scranton, PA office.
Essential Responsibilities include:
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department Manage and update files and other records with accuracy and efficiency Coordinate and facilitate internal and external communications, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and drafting correspondence. Conduct research and provide assistance in various projects and special assignments Collaborate with team members to improve administrative processes and contribute to a positive work environment Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents Provide assistance and support to company personnel Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws Constantly update job knowledge Please note that this job description is not designed to cover all activities required of the employee.
Experience and Skills:
Job Requirements:
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks Data entry and word processing skills Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Employment eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company/National Book Company in the US Must be able to work from our Scranton, PA office
