The ideal candidate will have a strong B2B sales background in the automotive or industrial industry and experience working with OEM and/or Tier 1 customers. The Assistant Sales Manager will assist with strategic sales planning, coordinate daily sales activities, support account development, and ensure sales initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives. Role Priorities Drive revenue growth by developing existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities. Develop and expand relationships with U.S
•based, non-Japanese companies , including automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and other industrial customers. Identify potential customers, understand their business needs, and develop appropriate sales strategies and proposals. Support the Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily sales operations. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction throughout the sales process and after project completion. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships while actively seeking opportunities for account expansion. Performance Requirements Support the Manager in achieving annual sales goals and increasing revenue through new customer development, account expansion, and strategic sales planning . Proactively identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities within the U.S. market . Build relationships with decision-makers and key contacts at non-Japanese companies and U.S
•based OEMs/Tier 1 suppliers . Coordinate day-to-day sales activities and provide guidance and support to other sales staff. Develop strong, long-term client relationships and contribute to strategic account planning. Manage customer communications and sales opportunities through phone, email, customer portals, and in-person meetings. Conduct customer visits, presentations, and business discussions to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for growth. Prepare sales presentations, proposals, sales documents, and reports to support business development and sales strategies. Monitor and analyze sales performance, revenue, pipeline, and other key sales metrics and recommend improvements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information regarding customers, sales opportunities, products, and market developments. Stay informed about new products, automotive industry trends, and competitive developments and communicate relevant information to the sales team. Work closely with internal departments and customers to ensure smooth execution of sales activities and projects. Travel primarily within the U.S., with occasional international travel or assignments. Preferred Skills, Experience & Educational RequirementsMinimum Requirements Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales or customer service experience in the automotive or industrial industry. Experience working with automotive OEM and/or Tier 1 customers is strongly preferred. Proven work experience as an Assistant Sales Manager or in a similar sales role. Ability to understand, analyze, and improve sales performance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer-service mindset with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and manage sales activities effectively. Willingness to travel domestically within the U.S. and occasionally internationally. Educational Requirements High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
