$20.00-$27.00 per hour (Starting at and Based on Proven Experience) Full-Time We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Shop Manager to oversee the daily operation of our shop supporting our commercial refrigeration construction, installation, and maintenance teams. This position plays a critical role in making sure our field technicians and installation crews have the correct materials, equipment, tools, and parts they need to complete projects efficiently. The ideal candidate understands how to keep a busy shop organized, can manage inventory and deliveries, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction and service environment. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation, organization, and cleanliness of the shop and warehouse. Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming equipment, materials, and parts. Prepare and stage materials for upcoming commercial refrigeration installations and service projects. Verify that crews have the correct equipment, materials, tools, and job-specific supplies before leaving for a project. Maintain accurate inventory of refrigeration parts, panels, glass doors, hardware, tools, and other shop supplies. Track incoming and outgoing materials and equipment. Coordinate material deliveries and pickups with vendors, project managers, service technicians, and installation crews. Inspect shipments for shortages or damage and report issues promptly. Maintain organized designated areas for each active construction project. Help manage company tools and equipment, including checking tools in and out to employees. Identify low-stock items and communicate purchasing needs before materials run out. Keep commonly used service and installation materials stocked and ready. Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment when required. Maintain company vehicles, trailers, tools, and shop equipment organization. Assist management with improving inventory, material-handling, and shop procedures. Help prevent material loss, unnecessary purchases, and project delays through proper organization and accountability. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment. Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse, construction shop, HVAC/R, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or similar trade environment is preferred. Commercial refrigeration or HVAC experience is a strong plus. Previous inventory, warehouse, or shop-management experience preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time. Comfortable working with technicians, installers, project managers, vendors, and office staff. Basic computer and technology skills for inventory, job tracking, email, and company software. Ability to identify and organize construction materials, tools, equipment, and parts. Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Forklift experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accountability.
