•Job Overview The Assistant Manager or Lead Sales Associate will support the daily operations of a donated goods store, assisting the Store Manager in deriving a net revenue by performing the following duties personally or through the store employees: Ensure acceptable level of service is provided to customers and donors; address customer or donor concerns/inquiries. Plan and prepare work schedules; assign employees specific duties to maintain an appropriate level of productivity to meet or exceed established financial goals. Maintain merchandising guidelines through colorization and classification of store inventory. Also ensure inventory is maintained by timely requisitioning of donated goods. Complete required paperwork accurately and neatly submit within established timeframe. Enforce security and loss prevention procedures, ensuring sales transactions are rung up and reported accurately, all monies are collected, counted and deposited securely. Create positive public image of Goodwill through clean store environment, attractive displays, and presentable store staff. Comply with established organizational policies and procedures to communicate with employees regarding management's evaluation of their job performance. Ensure that merchandise, which meets established quality standards, flows to the sales area on consistent basis; communicate merchandise needs to support management. Ensure compliance of employees with established safety, security, sales, housekeeping, financial procedures and practices. Communicate directly and consistently with Store Manager. Assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted sales goal weekly/monthly.

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a minimum of one year related employment, supervisory experience desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages; ability to accurately count money.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
