Assistant Store Team Leader At Pet Supplies Plus, the Assistant Store Team Leader supports store operations, develops team members, and delivers exceptional service to every neighbor and their pets. Build community connections, including partnerships with local pet rescues. Support team members in helping neighbors select the right products for their pets. Partner with the Store Team Leader to analyze results and improve sales, engagement, and productivity. Foster a positive, knowledgeable, and trusted petcentric environment. Key Responsibilities Support daily store operations and compliance with standards for cleanliness, animal care, safety, security, and neighbor service. Promote team engagement through recognition, coaching, feedback, and career development. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Cultivate a learning-focused culture through effective training and development. Build relationships with community organizations to support events and local marketing opportunities. Qualifications 4+ years of retail team leadership or management experience required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (strong Excel) and strong communication skills. Ability to operate store equipment, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds—cat litter included. Flexible availability (mornings, evenings, and weekends), reliable transportation, successful completion of required screening, and age 18 or older.

Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
