Board of Directors Position Summary The Pro Shop Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation and supervision of the pro shop, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient retail operations, and a positive experience for members and guests. This position oversees merchandise sales, inventory management, tee sheet coordination, staff scheduling, cash handling, and compliance with club policies and procedures. The Pro Shop Supervisor serves as a key point of contact for customers and supports the overall success of golf and recreational operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service Provide outstanding customer service to members, guests, and visitors. Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally and promptly. Promote a welcoming and friendly environment within the pro shop and golf facility. Assist customers with merchandise selections, golf services, tournaments, and reservations. Retail Operations Oversee daily pro shop opening and closing procedures. Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure the shop remains clean and organized. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, receive shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records. Assist with pricing, merchandising, and promotional activities to maximize sales. Process sales transactions and ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation procedures. Staff Supervision Supervise, train, and mentor pro shop employees. Assist with employee scheduling and ensure adequate staffing levels. Monitor employee performance and provide coaching as needed. Ensure staff comply with customer service standards, policies, and procedures. Golf Operations Support Manage tee time reservations and daily tee sheet operations. Assist with tournament, league, and special event coordination. Communicate course conditions, policies, and event information to customers. Support golf professionals and management with operational needs. Administrative Responsibilities Prepare reports related to sales, inventory, and operational performance. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations. Participate in budget monitoring and cost-control initiatives Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Previous retail, golf course, hospitality, or recreational facility experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required. Required Certifications and Training Must obtain and maintain any required company training and certifications. Must obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler Manager Certificate within 30 days of hire (or prior to assuming food service management responsibilities), as required by applicable state and local regulations. Must comply with all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements related to the handling, preparation, storage, and sale of food and beverage products. Work Environment This position operates in a retail and recreational environment and may involve both indoor and outdoor work.
