Leadership Full Job Description Overview:

The Coffee Shop Manager supports Christ United's mission of Loving God, Serving Others, and Transforming Lives by overseeing the daily operations of the church coffee shop. This role combines operational leadership, leading staff and volunteers, with a ministry-oriented mindset to create a welcoming, hospitable environment that fosters connection, fellowship, and community. Reports to Pastor of Adult Ministries. Reports to the Executive Director. General Responsibilities Manage day-to-day coffee shop operations during scheduled hours of operation Manage menu offerings, including seasonal drinks as applicable Supervise, schedule, train, and support staff and/or volunteers Ensure excellent customer service and a warm, inviting atmosphere Oversee coffee preparation, food handling, and cleanliness standards Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships Handle opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and basic reporting Maintain health, safety, and food service compliance standards Collaborate with church staff to support special events and Sunday services Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and service aligned with church values Collaborate with advertising and marketing efforts Build and maintain relationships with church members and visitors Qualifications Experience in coffee shop, cafe, food service Strong leadership, organizational, and communications skills Ability to manage and motivate staff and volunteers Available Sunday mornings and some evenings Commitment to quality and consistency Supportive of the church's mission and values Proficiency with POS systems, basic bookkeeping, and equipment maintenance Highly relational and a proactive self-starter Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods Ability to bend, reach, clean, and perform repetitive tasks Ability to safely lift and carry 25-30lb Days/Hours (when coffee shop is open plus additional days/times as needed)

Monday-Thursday:

8:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

Friday:

8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Sunday:

8:00 a.m.-1 p.m. Additional days and times as needed, including evening programming as scheduled.

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
