Marina Store Keyholder / Shift Leader Deep Sea Headquarters - Port Aransas, TX Deep Sea Headquarters is seeking an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Marina Store Keyholder / Shift Leader to help oversee daily operations of our busy marina store in Port Aransas. This is a hands-on leadership position in a fast-paced tourism and fishing environment. The ideal candidate will have previous shift management or supervisory experience, retail experience, strong sales skills, and excellent customer service abilities . A major part of this position is helping customers select and book the right fishing trip, so applicants must be comfortable explaining trip options, answering questions, making recommendations, and closing sales. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Keyholder and Shift Leader during assigned shifts Open and/or close the marina store and ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed correctly Supervise and provide direction to employees during assigned shifts Maintain excellent customer service standards throughout the store Sell and book Deep Sea Headquarters fishing trips, including offshore fishing trips, private charters, and other excursions Learn our fishing trip options, schedules, pricing, policies, and seasonal offerings Answer customer questions in person and over the phone Assist customers with reservations, check-in, and trip preparation Process retail and fishing trip sales through the POS and reservation systems Handle cash, credit card transactions, and end-of-shift closing procedures Assist with retail sales of fishing tackle, apparel, merchandise, snacks, drinks, and other marina products Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, organization, and merchandise displays Restock merchandise and assist with inventory as needed Help coordinate customer flow during busy fishing trip departures and arrivals Communicate effectively with captains, crews, dock staff, management, and other employees Resolve customer concerns professionally and know when an issue should be escalated to management Ensure company policies and procedures are followed during assigned shifts Perform other duties as needed to support marina operations Qualifications Applicants should have: Previous shift leader, keyholder, supervisor, or management experience Previous retail experience Previous sales and customer service experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Confidence speaking with customers and recommending or selling fishing trips Ability to lead employees and keep a shift organized Dependability and strong attendance Basic computer and POS system experience Ability to handle cash and complete closing procedures accurately Ability to work independently and make good decisions when management is not immediately available Fishing, boating, marina, or tourism experience is a plus, but not required Schedule & Availability Deep Sea Headquarters operates in the tourism and hospitality industry , so applicants must understand that our busiest times are when visitors are in Port Aransas. Weekend and holiday availability is required. During the busy summer season, this position must be available to work evenings until 10:00 PM or later when operations require it. During the winter season, evening shifts typically run until approximately 8:00 PM . Applicants should have flexible availability and be prepared for schedules to change seasonally based on business volume and fishing trip schedules. Deep Sea Headquarters is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can be trusted to take ownership of a shift.
