Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service standards. Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing retail team with strong management skills. Oversee employee orientation programs and ongoing training initiatives to enhance team capabilities. Implement effective scheduling and shift management to optimize store coverage and productivity. Manage purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory management to maximize profitability while minimizing stock discrepancies. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales processing, cash handling, and financial reconciliation with accuracy. Supervise daily cash flow activities such as cashiering, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets through retail sales management techniques. Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries promptly and resolving issues efficiently. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive team environment focused on growth and success. Monitor operational metrics to identify areas for improvement in store efficiency and sales performance. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations as well as company policies across all store activities. Requirements Proven management experience in a retail environment with supervisory responsibilities; previous assistant manager or store manager experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, inventory control, merchandising, and POS systems. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication and organizational skills. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development, and payroll processing. Familiarity with retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, cash handling, and basic math skills necessary for daily operations. Experience in grocery or similar store settings is a plus; knowledge of inventory management software is desirable. Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams while managing multiple priorities efficiently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, stock management, and operational procedures.
