Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Supervisor to join our team at Skull Bracket & High Plains Biochar. This is a dual role for an multitasking individual. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and construction, be able to follow instructions with hands-on experience in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount. As a Shop Supervisor, you will contribute to the efficiency of our operations by ensuring that materials and products are handled, stored, and prepared for shipment accurately. You will be in charge of running a welding shop with 1-2 part time employees working under you. Hours are 8am-2pm Monday-Friday, you'll enjoy getting off early everyday. Optional 40 hour work week for the right candidate. Responsibilities Operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Perform MIG welding. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency. Quality (attention to detail). Painting, making sure you can meet painting expectations. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals. Teach and Nurture Less experienced certified welders. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction site environments. Detail oriented ability to follow instructions Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG. Familiarity with fabrication processes and the use of hand tools. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects. Must be able to successfully complete a weld test. Ability to effectively paint.
