We have a full-time opening for a Retail Sales Assistant in our Cleveland store. It's a busy shop, particularly around lunch, after work and at weekends, so we need someone who is comfortable approaching customers rather than waiting to be asked for help. There are quieter jobs out there. This probably isn't one of them. On a Normal Shift Spend most of your time out on the sales floor Speak with customers and find out what they're looking for Explain products, prices and current offers Check availability and help find alternatives Put through purchases, returns and exchanges Refill products as they sell Straighten displays and keep the floor presentable Help unpack deliveries when they arrive Complete opening or closing jobs depending on your shift A Few Things We Care About You need to be comfortable talking to people. Not in an over-the-top sales way, just confident enough to start a conversation and be useful. We also need people who turn up when scheduled, learn the products and notice when something needs doing without always having to be asked. Retail experience is useful, but we'll show you how our store works and provide paid training when you start.
