This role supports sales operations while developing the knowledge, technical skills, and customer relationship abilities necessary for future success in an outside sales role. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn Palmer-Donavin product offerings and sales procedures through training sessions, vendor interaction, and hands-on experience to support customer inquiries and sales activities. Develop proficiency in Eclipse to enter orders, check pricing and product availability, and support inside sales functions. Collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to contact customers, demonstrate products, and prepare estimates and bids tailored to customer needs. Gain understanding of Purchasing, Credit, Warehousing, and Distribution processes to strengthen cross-functional knowledge and internal relationships. Support sales efforts by completing reports, analyzing trends, and participating in customer outreach and sales calls. Develop sales and communication skills through role-playing exercises, strategic pricing analysis, and learning the Palmer-Donavin sales process. Assist with maintaining customer relationships and delivering exceptional customer service. Participate in training and development activities designed to prepare for future sales growth opportunities within the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field required. No prior experience necessary. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, required.
