As a Jewelry Sales Assistant, you will assist clients in selecting the perfect pieces for their needs while building lasting relationships that encourage repeat business.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers and provide personalized service to help them choose jewelry items based on their preferences and needs.
Sales:
Drive sales by providing expert product knowledge, offering suggestions, and promoting ongoing offers and promotions.
Product Knowledge:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge about the store's collection, including gemstones, diamonds, precious metals, and brand-specific information.
Merchandising:
Assist in the display and organization of jewelry items, ensuring that showcases are well-presented and stocked.
Handling Transactions:
Process sales, returns, and exchanges in a professional manner, ensuring accuracy in cash and credit handling.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by following up on past purchases, notifying them of new arrivals or sales, and ensuring their complete satisfaction.
Inventory Management:
Assist in receiving new shipments, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring products are safely stored.
Security:
Follow company protocols to prevent loss and ensure the security of valuable jewelry items, including handling high-value transactions responsibly.
Repairs and Custom Orders:
Assist customers with jewelry repairs or custom orders, communicating with the appropriate department or vendor as needed.
Requirements:
Experience:
Previous retail or sales experience, preferably in a luxury or jewelry setting.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build rapport with customers, and a high attention to detail.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of different types of jewelry, gemstones, and precious metals (training will be provided).
Professionalism:
Presentable and professional demeanor, with the ability to handle luxury merchandise.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Technology:
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory software.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent or higher. Proven experience in sales, retail, or customer service. Gemological knowledge or certification is a plus.
