Summary:
The Aftermarket Quoting Specialist is responsible for preparing, processing, and following up on aftermarket quotes for walk-in refrigeration products, including refrigeration systems, doors, floors, panels, and related retrofit and replacement assemblies. This position gathers customer requirements, verifies specifications, applies established pricing, and produces accurate, timely quotes that support the aftermarket sales process. Working under the direction of the Aftermarket Manager, and alongside the Project Analyst - Aftermarket, this role owns straightforward quotes independently and supports more complex refurbishment and system quotes as skills develop. The position emphasizes quote accuracy, fast turnaround, and consistent follow-up that support customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and RSG's strategic business objectives.
Examples of Duties:
Prepare accurate aftermarket quotes for assemblies, structural replacements, and refurbishment work using established price lists, catalogs, and quoting tools. Gather and verify the information required to quote, requesting missing details from customers, sales representatives, or internal teams. Communicate professionally with customers and sales representatives to confirm requirements and clarify quote details. Document customer requirements, special requests, and quote notes accurately. Understand and use quotation software tools including catalogs, price lists, websites, and ERP systems. Log and track customer quotation requests to ensure timely turnaround. Maintain and organize copies of quotes and supporting materials. Support clear communication between customers, outside sales representatives, and internal staff. Escalate complex or non-standard quotes to the Project Analyst - Aftermarket or Aftermarket Manager, and flag customer problems or potential company liability issues. Provide quoting and sales support to our outside sales network, including reps and dealers. Provide status updates on open quotes and follow-ups to the Aftermarket Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Positive customer experience oriented. Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read basic customer specifications and match them to the correct products and pricing. Keen attention to detail and ability to communicate and summarize details effectively. Familiarity with manufacturing systems and processes, or a willingness to learn. Vocational-technical or specialized training in refrigeration and sales/customer service preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP, quoting software, and CRM systems a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, preferred. Will consider a combination of education and professional experience in substation for educational requirements Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems, commercial kitchen equipment, or similar configure to order or engineer to order manufactured products Required High School Diploma or GED. One to two years of quoting, customer service, sales support, technical support, or related experience preferred. RSG is an EEO employer as defined by the EEOC.
