Sales Engineer - New Business Development

Primary Outcomes Create qualified new opportunities Generate new ICP meetings Build/maintain healthy pipeline coverage Win new awards Maintain CRM hygiene and activity tracking as required Core Responsibilities Build and execute a structured outbound prospecting plan (call/email/LinkedIn, referrals, industry outreach, events) Target and penetrate ICP accounts and reach true decision-makers Run discovery and qualification of new opportunities to ensure they align with APM's defined sales and marketing strategy. Coordinate internal resources (engineering/quality/ops) as needed to advance opportunities, while retaining ownership of next steps and deal momentum Maintain accurate pipeline stages, next steps, and forecast in the CRM Provide weekly activity and pipeline reporting to sales leadership Required Experience / Capabilities Proven hunter track record: consistent outbound activity, meeting generation, and winning new projects Experience selling engineered/manufacturing solutions (injection molding highly preferred) Strong discovery/qualification skill set (sell value, push back appropriately, drive decisions) Comfortable with a metrics-driven cadence and weekly accountability Working knowledge of CRM-based selling and pipeline management Preferred Network/experience in APM target verticals (industrial markets, etc.) Technical knowledge of operations/manufacturing, ability to read prints/specs at a conversational level Competencies High urgency and consistency in prospecting Ability to reach decision-makers and create momentum Comfort discussing money and challenging assumptions Resilience (rejection doesn't derail activity) Coachability and process discipline This is a hunter-centric sales role responsible for generating net-new business for APM. The focus is creating qualified opportunities, advancing them through a defined sales process, and winning new injection molding programs in target markets. This role is responsible for managing existing accounts, supporting the internal quoting process, overseeing program management activities, ensuring quality performance, and supporting plant operations.
