Job Summary
Product Support Engineer, Lam Research Corporation, Hillsboro, OR. Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. Supports business in important customer new tool process qualification, training and BKM document creation. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. Work closely with a highly cross-functional team of development engineers to implement solutions to customer issues on a leading-edge big data platform. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in product or systems engineering Alternatively, will accept Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field plus 1 year of experience in product or systems engineering. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in/with: ' Presenting to customers and providing solution roadmaps
' Managing escalations with account teams
' Mentoring peers with respect to established engineering templates and guidelines
' Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) equipment that deposits both dielectric and conductive materials
' Vacuums and radio frequencies used to develop complex solution models Must have 1 year of experience in 3 or more of the following (which may be gained concurrently): ' electro-mechanical system design and manufacturing
' systems engineering and integration
' statistical methods for modeling
' multivariate data sets
' Statistical Process Control (SPC)
' Design of Experiments (DOE)
' plasma modeling
' Vacuum Systems
' semiconductors Must have 1 year of experience in 2 or more of the following (which may be gained concurrently):
' Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
' Root Cause-Corrective Action (RCCA)
