This role requires proactive communication, quote management, and customer engagement. The representative will maintain a book of business, upsell existing accounts, and meet or exceed assigned quotas for both new business development and customer retention. A large part of this role also involves actively prospecting new accounts through phone outreach and other outbound efforts to identify and pursue new sales opportunities. The ideal candidate is both a farmer and a hunter—skilled in nurturing existing relationships while confidently initiating contact with new potential customers to expand Cal Duct's market reach. Duties & Responsibilities This role carries an annual sales quota to be achieved through both farming and hunting new business. Grow revenue by actively selling to current and prospective new customers. Maintain sales call activity on a weekly basis to meet or exceed sales quota. Gather and communicate industry intelligence regarding industry trends, pricing and relevant competitive information. Process telephone and email orders by quoting prices, delivery specs, and payment terms. Actively research new customer opportunities and make outreach calls to new and attrited customers. Offer product substitutes when needed and identify upsell opportunities to increase order value. Identify opportunities to cross sell and upsell to drive new business. Support outside sales personnel with priority transactions and account coordination. Gather market intel on customers, competitors, and pricing trends. Maintain strong relationships and provide technical product support to customers. Follow up on quotes, job orders, and track lost sales for analysis. Participate in continuous product knowledge training. Maintain accurate records in internal systems (CRM/order platforms).

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of inside sales or order desk experience required. Industry experience in the underground, renewables and/or communications industry is preferred. Experience in industrial sales, construction supply, or distribution environments required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic CRM/order entry platforms. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines. Compensation Package Base Salary + commission
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
