Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Assistant to join our event marketing team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals interested in developing skills in client acquisition, relationship management, marketing strategy, and business growth. The Business Development Assistant will support outreach efforts, identify new business opportunities, build professional relationships, and help expand client partnerships through innovative event marketing campaigns and brand experiences. Responsibilities Assist with identifying and developing new business opportunities through market research and outreach Support client acquisition strategies and relationship-building initiatives Conduct in-person and virtual outreach with prospective clients, partners, and community organizations Represent the company and client brands at promotional events, networking opportunities, and marketing activations Assist with preparing presentations, proposals, and business development materials Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, and campaign performance Collaborate with marketing, sales, and event teams to execute growth strategies Participate in client meetings and support account management activities Learn and apply effective communication, negotiation, and sales techniques Contribute ideas to improve outreach campaigns and increase brand visibility Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience considered Strong communication and interpersonal skills Interest in business development, marketing, sales, entrepreneurship, or client relations Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn new strategies and take on leadership opportunities Preferred Experience Customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, promotions, or event experience Experience with networking, presentations, or public-facing roles Interest in growing into leadership, account management, or sales management positions What We Offer Comprehensive training in business development, sales, and event marketing Hands-on experience with client campaigns and brand partnerships Career advancement opportunities based on performance Leadership development and mentorship Collaborative, energetic work environment Opportunities to develop professional communication and management skills
