Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative for a temp-to-hire opportunity in the Downey, CA area with a growing organization in the electronics, components, and semiconductor manufacturing industry. This role combines inside sales support, customer service, account management, order processing, and customer communication in a fast-paced wholesale environment. This is a strong long-term opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with customers, sales teams, inventory, shipping, warehouse, and operations. Success in this role requires strong follow-through, accuracy, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset. Key Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders accurately from emails, purchase orders, and EDI queues.
- Serve as a primary contact for customers by responding to emails, service requests, order questions, and account needs.
- Verify inventory, provide pricing and availability information, and communicate shipment updates, delays, and backorder status.
- Process purchase orders, send order confirmations, and support new customer account setup and onboarding.
- Coordinate with sales, production, shipping, warehouse, and operations teams to track, expedite, or resolve order and shipment issues.
- Maintain accurate records, support customer engagement initiatives, and assist with general clerical tasks as needed. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $50,000.00 to $56,160.00 per year.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
Location:
Downey, CA area.- Training schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- After approximately 90 days of training: Monday through Friday, schedule options available between 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for an 8-hour shift. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Process customer purchase orders, email orders, and EDI queue orders with accuracy.
- Manage customer communication related to inventory, pricing, availability, delivery dates, delays, and backorders.
- Support account management, new customer setup, and order follow-up.
- Coordinate internally with sales, warehouse, shipping, production, and operations teams.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant inside sales, customer service, order processing, or account support experience.
- Wholesale experience is required.
- Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience handling purchase orders, order confirmations, customer emails, and shipment follow-up.
- Ability to verify inventory, communicate product availability, and recommend alternatives for out-of-stock or discontinued items.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer requests and priorities.
- Customer-focused attitude with strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics, components, semiconductor manufacturing, distribution, or a related product-based industry.
- Experience using order entry, ERP, CRM, inventory, or EDI systems.
- Background supporting sales promotions, customer engagement, or account management activities.
- Long-term interest in growing with a stable, team-oriented company.
