As an Automotive Sales Associate, you will guide customers through the vehicle-buying process, build lasting customer relationships, and achieve sales goals while maintaining high standards for customer satisfaction. Identify customer needs by asking questions and listening carefully to their preferences. Help customers select appropriate vehicles and recommend alternatives when necessary. Maintain current knowledge of inventory, vehicle features, technology, accessories, and automotive industry terminology. Provide thorough vehicle presentations and product demonstrations. Offer and coordinate test drives in accordance with dealership procedures. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. Use dealership sales, CRM, and follow-up systems to manage prospects and customer relationships. Ensure the Sales Manager has an opportunity to meet each customer. Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local requirements governing retail automotive sales. Explain vehicle values, equity, and depreciation to customers when appropriate. Assist with transitioning completed sales to the Finance Manager and ensure required paperwork and documentation are complete. Coordinate vehicle preparation before delivery, including cleanliness, fuel, and verification that vehicle features are operational. Deliver sold vehicles and explain operating features, warranties, and applicable paperwork to customers. Introduce customers to the Service Department and assist with scheduling their first service appointment. Follow up on post-delivery items, including registration/title matters, "we-owes," and special customer requests. Maintain an active prospect-development and follow-up process. Attend required in-person and remote sales meetings. Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales environment. Complete sales orders and related paperwork according to dealership procedures. Review sales activity and performance with the Sales Manager to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain a professional appearance and represent California Motor Direct positively. Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation Estimated Annual Earnings:
$60,000-$130,000 Actual earnings may vary based on individual sales performance and the applicable compensation plan.
