Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven, polished, and highly motivated Outside Sales Representative focused on new business development within the commercial and industrial market. This is a true hunter role centered around building a territory through prospecting, cold outreach, relationship development, and closing long-term service agreements. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of creating new opportunities, developing relationships with high-level decision makers, and building a book of business from the ground up. The role involves selling annual and multi-year service and maintenance agreements to commercial and industrial facilities. Sales cycles are consultative and relationship-driven, averaging around 3 months but occasionally extending beyond a year.
What You'll Be Doing:
Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting Conduct heavy outbound cold calling and in-person business development efforts Average approximately 50 outbound calls per day initially Identify and pursue commercial and industrial facility opportunities Schedule and conduct first appointments with prospective clients Deliver presentations and proposals to executives, directors, boards, and building owners Navigate objection handling and complex sales discussions Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through close Build and maintain a long-term pipeline of opportunities Develop trusted relationships with decision makers across multiple industries Work both in-office and in the field throughout the Colorado Springs market
What We're Looking For:
2-9 years of professional sales experience Strong B2B sales background selling directly to end users Experience selling services rather than strictly project-based work Proven ability to prospect and develop new business independently Comfortable making cold calls both by phone and in person Experience managing longer, consultative sales cycles Professional presence with strong communication and presentation skills Highly driven, resilient, and self-motivated personality Ability to push through rejection and stay consistent with outreach efforts Strong organizational and follow-up skills
