Job Description
Position Summary:
The HVAC Construction Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, developers, and building owners to drive profitable HVAC & plumbing construction projects. This mid-level role focuses on project-based sales, territory growth, and long-term account management while collaborating with estimating, engineering, and operations teams.Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development :
- Identify, pursue, and close HVAC & plumbing construction opportunities within an assigned territory.
- Develop new contractor and GC relationships while expanding existing accounts.
- Track projects through planning, bidding, and award phases using a CRM software.
Project & Bid Management :
- Support bid and proposal development with estimating and engineering teams.
- Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Assist with pricing strategy and negotiations.
Relationship Management :
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers.
- Build long-term trust with decision-makers.
Cross-Functional Coordination :
- Coordinate with project managers and operations for smooth handoff.
- Communicate schedules, scope, and expectations.
Sales Administration :
- Maintain CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Meet assigned revenue and margin targets.
Required Qualifications:
3-7 years of HVAC or mechanical construction sales experience.- Strong knowledge of HVAC & plumbing systems and construction workflows.
- Experience with construction drawings and bid processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling to mechanical contractors or GCs. Familiarity with CRM platforms. Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or Construction Management.Compensation & Benefits:
