Job Description

FTF is seeking an experienced, highly driven Executive Sales Representative to help build the next stage of growth for our company. We are offering a base salary + bonus plan This is not an established sales position with a mature book of business, inherited accounts, or a pre-built sales department. This is the first dedicated sales opening in our company's history. The person selected for this role will have the opportunity to help build our sales operation from the ground up, directly influence how we grow, and potentially develop into the leader responsible for the entire sales program. We are looking for someone who is experienced, confident, autonomous, competitive, and capable of creating momentum without needing to be constantly managed.
THE OPPORTUNITY FTF
is a young, growing company with significant opportunity to expand its customer base, increase recurring business, develop larger accounts, and build a structured outbound sales operation. Because this is our first dedicated sales role, the compensation structure is still being finalized. The position may ultimately be structured as base salary plus commission or as a commission-focused/commission-only position. Compensation will be discussed openly with qualified candidates as we determine the structure that best aligns the individual and the business. For the right person, however, this opportunity extends well beyond selling for one company. FTF currently operates multiple branded companies, and a high-performing candidate could have opportunities to expand their role across two additional FTF-branded businesses as those companies continue to grow. The long-term opportunity is for the right individual to potentially take ownership of the entire FTF sales operation — helping recruit, train, manage, and lead future sales representatives while developing the systems, processes, expectations, and culture of the department.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
You will be expected to actively generate new business rather than simply manage incoming leads.
Responsibilities will include:
Prospecting and developing new business opportunities Building relationships with business owners, executives, purchasing managers, schools, organizations, teams, and other decision-makers Conducting outbound calls, emails, networking, and other business-development activities Managing opportunities from initial contact through closing Developing and maintaining a strong sales pipeline Following up consistently and professionally with prospective customers Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts Developing larger recurring and contract-based customer relationships Helping establish sales processes, CRM practices, follow-up standards, and reporting procedures Providing feedback on pricing, offers, sales materials, and customer objections Working closely with ownership and operations to ensure customer expectations can be executed successfully Helping train and improve the sales capabilities of other team members Eventually helping recruit, mentor, and lead additional sales representatives as the department grows.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This role requires someone who already knows how to sell. We are specifically looking for an individual who: Has demonstrated business-to-business sales experience Is comfortable prospecting and creating opportunities instead of waiting for leads Is confident speaking directly with business owners and senior decision-makers Can operate independently and manage their own schedule and pipeline Has strong closing and negotiation skills Is highly accountable and results-oriented Understands how to build long-term customer relationships rather than chase one-time transactions Is organized and disciplined with follow-up Can confidently teach sales principles and techniques to other employees Can help establish sales systems and processes where none currently exist Is comfortable working in a rapidly growing small-business environment Can adapt quickly as the company, sales strategy, and opportunity evolve Wants responsibility, ownership, and advancement rather than simply maintaining a territory.
THIS ROLE WILL NOT BE A FIT FOR EVERYONE!
Because this is our first sales hire, there will be less structure than you would find inside a large corporate sales organization. We are not looking for someone who needs a highly scripted sales environment, constant supervision, or a fully developed sales infrastructure before they can perform. We need someone capable of helping create that infrastructure. The successful candidate will be expected to bring ideas, identify opportunities, establish best practices, test strategies, and help us determine what a scalable sales organization should look like.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
(IF WANTED) Our intention is not simply to hire a salesperson. We want to identify someone who could eventually become a major part of the leadership and growth of the FTF organization. As the sales operation expands, the right individual may have the opportunity to: Lead the sales department Recruit and train additional sales representatives Establish sales territories and account strategies Develop compensation and incentive structures Build sales playbooks and training programs Oversee CRM and pipeline management Establish sales KPIs and performance expectations Expand into additional FTF-branded companies Help create and manage a scalable regional or national sales organization The ceiling for this position will largely be determined by performance and the individual's ability to build something that can grow beyond themselves.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
During the early stages of the role, success will be measured by the ability to: Build a consistent qualified sales pipeline Generate new customer relationships Convert prospects into profitable accounts Increase recurring and repeat business Develop larger-value accounts Establish disciplined sales and follow-up processes Identify scalable methods for generating new business Help improve the sales capability of the broader team Ultimately, we are looking for someone who can rapidly grow and expand the business while helping us build a professional sales organization from the ground up.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is currently being evaluated and has not yet been finalized. Base salary + commission Final compensation will depend on the candidate's experience, capabilities, expected responsibilities, and the structure developed for the position. Exceptional performance will create significant opportunities for increased responsibility, compensation, leadership, and involvement across the broader FTF organization.
THE CANDIDATE THAT WE WANT
The ideal candidate sees an early-stage sales department as an opportunity rather than a risk. You have experience selling. You trust your ability to generate business. You do not need someone standing over you telling you who to call next. You understand that building something from the beginning creates far more opportunity than simply stepping into someone else's established territory. If you are looking for an opportunity where your performance can directly influence the growth of the company — and where you could ultimately build and lead the entire sales organization — we want to speak with you.
